Set up to be led by an appointed instructor with students, this manual has 11 sections including: Overview of Hospice Services, The Role of the Volunteer, Confidentiality and Patient/Family Rights, Pain and Symptom Control, and Bereavement to name a few.  Each section will be prefaced with a sheet of “Instructor’s Tips” that will guide you, as the instructor, on how to administer the information to the students.  You can make each session as long or as short as you need to in order to meet the needs of your agency.  We do recommend, however, that you take at least one hour per session.
