The Home Health Registered Nurse must have a thorough understanding of CMS regulations regarding skilled nursing management and evaluation. This education activity will explore the aspects of proper documentation to establish the service as reasonable and necessary.

Objectives:

• Describe the CMS regulations regarding skilled nursing management and evaluation
• List the three factors which support the need for management and evaluation
