Principles of Coding
Tired of feeling lost in coding workshops... like you are the only one who just doesn’t get it? In this class, you are free to ask questions, and you gain a comfort level with your coding knowledge. This workshop will have interactive coding activities and REAL home care examples designed to increase your confidence and skill level. Principles of Coding will include the current PPS Rule as it relates to coding. The home health Registered Nurse and other clinicians will learn essential coding guidelines for a home care professional. A fundamental comprehension of coding is necessary for all home care staff. Since coding directly effects reimbursement and the coding rules changes twice every year this workshop will increase the attendee's competence in home health practice.
Objectives:
Foundation Management Services, Inc., is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the Texas Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
Requirements for Successful Completion of Activity the participant must:
- Sign-in on the attendance sheet, be present for the entire activity
- Complete and submit the activity evaluation
- Complete and submit Certificate of Successful Completion
The Board of Medical Specialty Coding & Compliance (BMSC) has pre-approved this event for 6 CEUs towards the maintenance of the HCS-D credential.

- Nurses: 6 Contact Hour(s)
- Admins: 6 Clock Hour(s)
