This workshop is designed for home health clinicians and professionals desiring to elevate their coding skills to a higher level. Appropriate coding has a tremendous impact on reimbursement, therefore attendees will learn during the first two days of this course how to apply coding rules and conventions for correct home health coding. The HCS-D Examination will be offered on the third day for those interested in testing their coding knowledge and skills. This workshop will be a perfect opportunity for individuals that are already HCS-D certified to obtain coding CE and retest if needed.

Attendees must register separately with the Board of Medical Specialty Coding (BMSC) prior to taking the exam. The registration fee for the exam is $259 and recertification is $149. The fee is set by the BMSC and must be paid in advance and sent directly to BMSC. The HCS-D tests the intersection of coding, billing and PPS, and it is strongly recommended that a test-taker have at least two years of coding experience before sitting for the exam.
